With a degree in cell biology, Madona Skaff somehow ended up working in mining research. Her scientific background has always inspired her science fiction stories and frequently sneaks into her mysteries. Over the years she’s published short stories in the small press.
Her story “Night Out” was published in the Ladies Killing Circle anthology, Menopause is Murder (1999).
She had two stories published in The Whole She-Bang (2012), by Toronto Sisters in Crime. Then two more in The Whole She-Bang 2 (2014). One of the stories, “First Impressions”, was an Arthur Ellis finalist in 2015.
Her debut novel, Journey of a Thousand Steps (Renaissance Press), under the name Madona Skaff-Koren, was published in 2015. She is working on the sequel.
