Marian Misters has been a co-owner of the Sleuth of Baker Street Mystery Bookstore for over 40 years. Looking for a change from her career as an auditor, she and her partner bought the Sleuth in 1982. After many decades in business, they transitioned in retirement to supplying readers with sought-after published books and rare editions.
Marian was awarded the 2021 CWC Derrick Murdoch Award for her contributions to the Canadian mystery community. She has served as Jury Chair for the CWC Awards of Excellence and still reads lots and lots of mystery books.
Marian has hosted the launch of all six of our anthologies and supported us unfailingly as individual authors. On October 30, 2022, we voted unanimously to invite her to become an Honorary Madame of Mayhem.
