Join the Crime Writers of Canada and several Mesdames of Mayhem at the upcoming MOTIVE Crime and Mystery Festival, Friday June 5th to Sunday, June 7th.

On Saturday, June 6th, 12 noon, Mme Lisa De Nikolits moderates the panel, the Art of Unease with authors, Eva Björg Ægisdóttir and Hannah Mary McKinnon. And at 5 pm, Lisa leads the discussion, Everyday Detectives, with authors Jane Doucet and Uzma Jalaluddin.

At 5:30 pm, Saturday, June 6th, Mme Hope Thompson will be reading from her new book, Dark Thoughts and Other Stories, at Fresh Blood: Crime Writers of Canada’s 2026 Debuts & Hot Reads, hosted by Jass Ajula.

On Sunday, June 7th, 11:30 am, Mme Lorna Poplak joins retired police detective, Hank Idsinga to discuss prison breaks in Out from Behind Bars.

On Saturday, June 6th and Sunday, June 7th, meet Hope and Mmes M. H. Callway, Rosemary McCracken, Lynne Murphy and Lorna Poplak in the Quadrangle. They will be on hand to discuss their books and crime writing as part of the Crime Writers of Canada booths.
